Shopify Basic is $39/month. Grow is $105. Add Klaviyo, Privy, Bold Subscriptions, Recart, and Linktree and you're at $312/month before you sell anything. TribeNest is $29/month flat with everything those apps do, plus an AI agent (Mira) who watches every order, cart, and customer every morning and tells you what to do next.

§ 01, THE STACK YOU REPLACE

Eight tools, one bill, all of it $29.

A creator-grade Shopify setup typically runs Shopify Grow plus Klaviyo, Privy, Bold Subscriptions, Recart, Linktree Premium, Mailchimp, and Calendly. Below is what that stack costs at any volume. TribeNest collapses it. Shipping carriers (USPS, FedEx) and shipping software (ShipStation) stay where they are.

What you're paying forReal cost
E-commerce platformShopify Grow$105/mo
niches.ecommerce.stack.rows.klaviyo.labelKlaviyo (5K contacts)$45/mo
Popup & form capturePrivy$30/mo
Subscription productsBold Subscriptions$30/mo

Smart link in bioLinktree Premium$35/mo
Email marketing & flowsMailchimp$15/mo
Booking calendarCalendly Pro$12/mo
Stack total / month$312/mo

Estimates use public 2026 pricing. Klaviyo $45 at 5K contacts, Bold Subscriptions and Recart per published pricing. Shipping carriers (USPS, FedEx, DHL) and shipping software (ShipStation) intentionally not in this stack because TribeNest is the storefront and customer layer, not a shipping carrier. TribeNest is flat $29.

§ 02, WHY SHOPIFY GETS EXPENSIVE

Three reasons creator commerce costs more than it should.

Specific structural problems with running a Shopify-grade creator store in 2026.

  • 01

Shopify is built for retailers. You add 5 apps to make it work for you.

Out of the box Shopify ships email-light, no subscriptions, no advanced cart abandonment, and a basic landing-page builder. Creators bolt on Klaviyo ($45+), Bold Subscriptions ($30), Privy ($30), Recart ($40), and a landing-page tool. Each one charges separately, and the marketplace bills compound.

  • 02

    Third-party gateway fees punish flexibility.

Shopify charges an additional 2% (Basic), 1% (Grow), or 0.6% (Advanced) on every transaction if you don't use Shopify Payments. On a $40 order, that's an extra 80 cents. Across 1,000 monthly orders, $800/month tax for using your own gateway.

  • 03

Your customer list is theirs in everything but name.

Shopify owns the integration layer to your email tool. Klaviyo holds the segmentation. The mobile app is a separate product (Shop) that pulls customers off your domain into Shopify's. Switching any of these means re-integrating six tools, every time.

§ 03, THE PER-ORDER MATH

What $40 actually pays. Per order, after fees.

Same $40 average order, two very different cost structures. Plus the stack savings on top.

Where the order comes throughYou netNotes
TribeNest order ($40)$39.03After Stripe ($0.97)
Shopify Basic ($40 order)$37.34Stripe + 2% gateway + plan
Shopify with apps ($40 order)$36.10Plus app marketplace fees
Etsy ($40 order, 6.5% + 0.20)$36.74Plus offsite ads up to 15%

Shopify Grow at $105/month plus 2.9% + 30¢ Stripe processing assumed. TribeNest 2.9% + 30¢ Stripe processing assumed. At 100 monthly orders the per-order gap is $1.50, plus the $76 stack savings (Grow alone vs $29) net out to $226/month.

§ 04, MEET MIRA

Mira watches the storefront so you can build the next product.

Mira reads every order, every cart, every email open, every customer return. She tells you what to do next. You spend the saved hours making products and shipping orders.

A · Every morning
She tells you what changed overnight.

Orders, AOV, cart abandonment, customer support, ad performance. One clear briefing. Before you open the warehouse.

Mira ▸ Last 24h: 47 orders, AOV $42.10. AOV down $6 because the discount is being applied to bundles. Cap it at items under $30?
B · When you ask
Plain English, real customer data.

"What's my best repeat-buyer flow?" "Which product has the highest reorder rate?" "Where do my top 100 customers live?" Instant answers from your store.

Mira ▸ Top reorder rate: Producer Pack vol. 1, 38% within 60 days. Best repeat-buyer flow: 14-day post-purchase + bundle offer. Want to clone it for vol. 2?
C · When she notices
She doesn't wait to be asked.

Cart abandonment spiking, AOV drifting, a slow product going viral, a 5-star review thread starting. She surfaces it the moment it matters.

Mira ▸ Cart abandons spiked to 23 in 24h (avg is 14). Common drop-off: shipping page. Drafted a free-shipping threshold test at $40.
D · When you have a goal
Tell her your number. She plans the path.

"$25K this month." Mira checks pacing, simulates 3 tactics (bundle drop, win-back flow, mid-month flash sale), and tracks weekly.

Mira ▸ $25K this month: doable at current pace. Best path: vol. 1+2 bundle drop on day 18 + win-back to 312 dormant buyers. Pace check Sundays.

§ 06, QUESTIONS

Common questions.

What e-commerce creators want to know before moving off Shopify and the apps.

Can I use my existing Stripe account, or do I have to use Shopify Payments?

TribeNest uses Stripe directly, no proprietary payment layer. You connect your Stripe account, and that's it. There's no third-party-gateway penalty fee like Shopify charges (2%, 1%, or 0.6% depending on plan). Just the standard Stripe processing fee (2.9% + 30¢).

How do shipping labels and fulfillment work?

Orders integrate with shipping software like ShipStation or you can use built-in label printing for USPS and FedEx via standard rates. Shipping carriers (USPS, FedEx, DHL) stay where they are. TribeNest is the storefront and customer layer, not the carrier.

What about subscription products like a monthly box?

Subscription billing is built in via Stripe. Set the product as recurring monthly, quarterly, or annual. Customers manage their subscription from their account page. No Bold Subscriptions or Recharge add-on required.

Can I import my Shopify products and customers without losing them?

Yes. Export Shopify products, customers, and orders as CSV (Shopify supports this) and import into TribeNest in bulk. Customer login passwords don't transfer (security), but customers reset on first login. Order history imports for reference.

Will my customer email list survive the migration?

Yes. Export Klaviyo or Mailchimp lists as CSV and import into TribeNest's email module. Segmentation tags carry over. Past behavior data (purchases, opens) imports as initial state.

Can I run a real customer community alongside the store?

Yes. Customer-only chat channels and product review threads are built in. Many creator brands run a private community for repeat buyers with early access to drops, exclusive products, and member-only sales. Tier-gated access controls who sees what.

What does Mira actually do for an e-commerce creator?

Mira reads every order, AOV trends, cart abandonment, customer reorder patterns, ad performance, and email engagement, and gives you one daily briefing. She flags AOV dips with discount-cap suggestions, drafts cart recovery sequences, identifies trending products to bundle, and forecasts month-end revenue. She proposes; you approve every action.

Will Mira change product prices or fulfill orders without me?

No. Mira only ever proposes. Every action, changing a price, sending a recovery email, launching a discount, requires your explicit approval. She drafts. You decide. Order fulfillment runs through your normal shipping software (ShipStation, USPS, FedEx); those stay where they are.
